CROOKED ARROWS Reshoots in LA Plus New Phoots

For the past several days, the CROOKED ARROWS cast and crew reunited to re-shoot some scenes for the movie in the Los Angeles area. Based on pictures trickling in from the set, it appears production is enhancing the big lacrosse finals against their prep school rivals.

Note that re shooting scenes is a very common occurrence in the industry. An extra from the film set claims on the official Facebook page that the cast and crew have reshot a new ending for the film.

Brandon to Play in 2012 ELeague

As previously reported, Brandon and producers from the lacrosse movie CROOKED ARROWS attended the 2012 US Lacrosse National Convention in Philadelphia to debut the official trailer from the April 2012 film (view photos).

The next day, Brandon signed autographs for fans at the movie's booth on the convention floor (view photos). Following the autograph session, Brandon and the rest of the movie's team fielded questions from the media (read article | view video). Stay tuned for more from the event.

With 7 days left before the official trailer for CROOKED ARROWS debuts, it was just announced that Brandon will join CROOKED ARROWS producers in Philadelphia, PA January 13-15 to help debut said trailer at the US National Lacrosse Convention at 7PM on the 13th which will also debut on Facebook.com/USLacrosse at the same time. In addition, Brandon will be signing autographs and speaking to the media about the film.

Routh also will participate in a meet and greet/autograph session at the "Crooked Arrows" booth from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the US Lacrosse Fan Fest. Immediately following his appearance at Fan Fest, Routh will meet with the media.

"Crooked Arrows" chronicles the unlikely rise of a Native American team to a prep school league championship and is slated for release in theaters during the spring 2012 lacrosse season. Routh stars as Joe Logan, who is tasked with coaching his Native American reservation’s high school lacrosse team against the better equipped and better trained players of the elite Prep School League.

Shaw Returns! The October rumor of Brandon spotted on the CHUCK set were true - the commercial following tonight's episode teased the return of Daniel Shaw in 2 weeks just in time for the show's first Christmas episode! The episode titled "Chuck vs. The Santa Suit" airs 12/23 at 8PM on NBC.

Superfan Gets Super Call from Superman

Earlier this month, a mentally disabled Superman fan, Mike Meyer, from Missouri had his entire Superman collection worth $4,000-$5,000 stolen from him. Subsequently, a big internet movement emerged to help locate/replace his collection. Last week, police were able to locate and return Mike's prized collection. In that same week, Mike received a phone call from Superman himself, Brandon Routh, where they discussed all things Superman.

They touched on the making of the "Superman Returns" movie, thetheft of Meyer's collection (which was subsequently returned whenpolice made an arrest in the case), Meyer's memorabilia collection,scenes from the 2006 movie — which Meyer said he has seen 14 timesin movie theaters and many more times on DVD — and past actors whohave played the role.

Brandon Writes Op-Ed Piece on Volunteerism

Updated 11/7: Brandon and other Hollywood celebrities including First Lady Michelle Obama will donate their time on Veteran's Day this Friday for the national "11/11/11" service event.

Brandon has partnered with Iowan newspaper DesMoinesRegister to write an opinion-editorial on the state of the nation's service program Corporation for National and Community Service. As we are all aware, Brandon is a firm supporter of volunteerism, even going as far as Washington DC to deliver his altruistic messages.

We must work together to continue the tradition of service and the spirit of giving back that has helped to make Iowa and our country so great. Take time to volunteer in your own community and let our policymakers know that helping America’s youth find jobs, rebuild our country from within and foster a spirit of patriotism is not a political issue, it’s an American issue.
